Las Vegas Raiders rookies get their new numbers as their careers start next week for rookie minicamp
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders drafted eight rookies in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed 17 undrafted free agents. That means 25 new numbers have to be assigned before the rookie minicamp starts next week.

The Raiders start their rookie minicamp next week on May 10, which every rookie must attend. Hopefully, we will get to see some footage or some type of content of the players just drafted and signed who are trying to make this roster better.

As for the rookies' new number that they will wear to start their careers, the Raiders announced them here:

We already knew that tight end and first-round pick Brock Bowers was going to wear No. 89, as he was seen holding the jersey with that number after his introductory press conference. But some other numbers do stand out.

Decamerion Richardson, the Raiders' fourth-round pick, is wearing No. 21, which is basically the number of the player he is replacing on the roster: Amik Robertson, who is now with the Detroit Lions.

Jackson Powers-Johnson is wearing No. 70, which Greg Van Roten wore last season, as JPJ is replacing GVR.

Hopefully, some legendary careers can be included in some of these numbers. We will see the start of these careers next week.
